General Notes:
Cynthia Jean Kelley was a smart, kind, and funny. She excelled in academic pursuits, and in her professional career. Jean (as most people called her), liked to play the piano, too.
She graduated from Fair Park high school in Shreveport, Louisiana. Then she graduated from Louisiana Tech, in Ruston, Louisiana. After college she spent her professional career in the social work arena. Her major focus as a social worker was to help other women. The women she worked with were mainly women who needed job-training, or life-improvement skills.
In college she met and married Cliff Rowe. Their marriage was short-lived. Later she met Robert Harrold in Ruston while still in college. They were married in 1965 at her home in Shreveport. She and Robert divorced in 1977.
As a mother she was the best. Always, she looked out for the best interests of her children, and still managed to work a "full time" job. The lessons she taught were of forgiveness, responsibility, and hope.
In the last decade of her life, she remarried. She married Ed Hunt in 1980. They built a home in Bethany, Louisiana, and that is where she lived til she died in 1990. At the time of her death she worked for the state of Louisiana as a Social Worker at the "Center For Displaced Homemakers", owned a candle shop called, "Candles Mean Love", and worked in her garden at home in Bethany.
Cynthia is buried at Forest Park West, Shreveport, Louisiana
