  General Notes:

I don't know that John Miller had two wives. However, evidence from census records suggests the possibility. In the 1850 Georgia census, John's wife Nancy is 34 years old. John's son William is shown as 22 years old. The age difference between Nancy and William is only 12 years. Also, the next oldest child listed is 17 (Mahala). Looks to me like John had William with another woman, then married Nancy. Mahala and Selina are probably Nancy's children. (Don Harrold; February 10, 2001)
