Kimery E. Ritter - Pueblo Chieftain - May 1975 - Kimery E. Ritter, pioneer La Veta cattleman and rancher, passed away in Walsenburg May 25, 1975. Husband of Mrs. Emma Ritter of the family home. Father of Mrs. Paul (Gail) Frick, Arizona City, Ariz. Grandfather of John C. and Lawrence E. Frick. Member of First Baptist Church in La Veta, member of La Veta Lodge 59, AF&AM; Southern Colorado Consistory 3, and Order of Eastern Star Mariposa Chapter 63. Mr. Ritter was a member of Southern Colorado Livestock Association and one of the oldest living members of the Colorado Cattlemen's Association; he served many years on the Ritter School Board and the Huerfano County High School Board.
